EXPERIENCE
I had my first hands-on dental experience as a volunteer dental assistant in Honduras, helping assist my uncle. My uncle and his family frequently travel to Honduras to provide needed care. Volunteer work is something that I plan to be a part of throughout my life and have my future practice be part of as well. Since my experience in Honduras, I have desired to be a part of a profession that has a huge impact and opportunity to improve others' lives.
I attended the University of Utah School of Dentistry, and graduated in 2021. Utah provided an exceptional opportunity to learn and grow as a dental student. Small class sizes of 50 students allowed me to have significant one-on-one time with mentors and the ability to push myself clinically in every aspect of dentistry. My time in school taught me that I enjoy many aspects of dentistry and that I have a desire to be as proficient as possible in many fields, to be able to provide better care for my patients.
Since graduation, I have been working as an associate in a solo doctor office in rural Oklahoma. This has been an awesome experience to help the underserved by providing much needed care, to personally grow clinically in order to provide the best treatment I possibly could, and to continue to expand my skills. I do my best to learn and grow through continuing education and have done over 150 hours of CE since graduating. I love the continual growth and experiences that come with our awesome career!
